Email Setup: Entourage 2008

In the example below, the clients name is 'John Smith', the name of their domain/website is 'www.mbginteractive.com.au' and their email address is 'johnsmith@mbginteractive.com.au'. Replace the 'John Smith' below with your own name, 'mbginteractive.com.au' with the name of your own website, and 'johnsmith@mbginteractive.com.au' with your own email address.

Step 1: Click Tools
Step 2: Click Accounts

Step 3: Click on the 'new' image

Step 4: Choose Mail

Step 5: Type in your Email address and click 'Configure Account Manually'.

Step 6: Choose POP as your account type.

Step 7: Fill in the details

Account Name: You can type anything here, we suggest your email address
Include this account in my 'Send and Receive All Schedule': Tick
Name: Type your name here

E-mail Address: The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@ The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@mbginteractive.com.au

Account ID: Your full email address is required, 'johnsmith@Your full email address is required, 'johnsmith@mbginteractive.com.au'

Pop server: mbginteractive.com.au
Password: The password you created when you setup your email account.
Smtp server: smtp.mbginteractive.com.au

Step 8: Click on 'Click here for advanced sending options'
Step 19: Tick the box that states 'Override default SMTP port', Type in 587
Step 10: Tick the box that states 'SMTP server requires authentication.
Step 11: Choose the radio button that states 'Use same settings as receiving mail server'.

Step 12: Save all settings, you are done.

Congratulations you have now correctly setup your email account in Entourage 2008.
